New update so you are going to have to redo the episode

Yeah, things definitely got changed!

One of the biggest hurdles of field test-review episodes is just this - rules changing on us. I'm not really sure what we're going to do at this point since any re-recording can just have the same thing done with it. But it definitely means that our eventual Skorne MkII (live) episode is going to be a much different discussion!

I am sure folks still enjoy the episodes, i know I do, and it is interesting to hear the thoughts on this podcast and other podcasts as well. I found you guys to be rather positive of Skorne while over at F&F the view on Skorne is alot more dire.

I do think the episodes should tend to avoid comparisons to MK 1 because I don't think we should be looking back on that too much. The view on models should be more of how they are inline with other factions and models in MK2 for a more accurate representation.

Good discussion. I like the two different views on changes.

It is hard to do this sort of show because the updates make the whole thing into a moving target.


I know you have other factions to cover, but I hope you can revisit Skorne at some date down the road.

The changes in the "flavor" of Skorne added to the new Synergies make it a very interesting topic.

Where is skorne going, how do you describe them in a few words seems very hard to do right now.

We'll definitely have another Skorne episode in the future. I don't think we've decided if we're going to wait for the faction books to be released or do another quick overview when the final tournament-legal PDFs are released for Hordes but either way it'll be interesting to talk about how much they keep changing.

Watch the Legion all change before we release that episode.

I second this. The episode was good but there were alot of changes to skorne, especially the locks. Perhaps you could do a Mark II fieldtest summary episode once the final PDF comes out. Mainly focusing on the changes not touched on during the episodes on each faction.
